Swift Paints - 5 Year Limited Warranty

Scope: Applies to premium Swift Paints products including Rubber and Sheen Coat ranges.

Warranty Overview

What we warrant

Swift Paints warrants that, for a period of five (5) years from the date of purchase, our premium products listed above will be free from material defects in manufacturing and will perform in accordance with published product specifications when applied and maintained in strict compliance with this warranty and our usage instructions.

Remedy

If a valid warranty claim is accepted, Swift Paints will, at its option, repair, replace, or refund the defective product or the portion of the product that fails. The remedy will not exceed the value of the original purchase.

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for coverage the following must be satisfied:

  • Proof of purchase showing product, quantity, date, and place of purchase.

  • The product must be a premium Swift Paints product from the Rubber or Sheen Coat ranges.

  • The product must have been used only in accordance with Swift Paints’ published usage instructions and technical data sheets current at the time of application.

  • The surface must have been prepared, cleaned, and primed using Swift Paints primers and recommended preparatory products unless otherwise authorized in writing by Swift Paints.

  • The product must have been applied at the recommended coverage rates and using recommended application methods.

Transferability

This warranty is non-transferable except where Swift Paints provides prior written consent.

Critical obligations for warranty validity

  • Surfaces must be properly cleaned, degreased, and prepared to industry acceptable standards. Failure to remove contaminants, rust, loose material, or moisture prior to application voids the warranty.

  • Where Swift Paints specifies a primer or preparatory product, that product must be used. Substituting third-party primers or preparatory systems without written approval voids the warranty.

  • Apply products at the recommended film thickness and coverage. Under-application, over-dilution, or excessive film build that departs from published instructions voids the warranty.

  • Follow temperature, humidity, and cure time requirements for each specific product. Application outside recommended environmental conditions is not covered.

  • Routine maintenance consistent with Swift Paints’ maintenance recommendations is required to preserve warranty coverage.

  • Any failure to comply with the above will forfeit the warranty.

Exclusions and Limitations

This warranty does not cover:

  • Damage or failure resulting from improper surface preparation, incorrect application, use of non-Swift primers or products, or failure to follow coverage and curing instructions.

  • Normal wear and tear, aesthetic changes such as minor color variation, chalking, or fading that do not materially affect product performance.

  • Damage caused by accidents, abuse, misuse, neglect, vandalism, structural movement, settlement, or acts of God (including but not limited to floods, earthquakes, lightning).

  • Failures caused by underlying substrate defects, moisture intrusion from behind the coating, or pre-existing conditions not disclosed at time of purchase.

  • Work performed by third parties that alters the original Swift Paints application without Swift Paints’ written approval.

  • Consequential, incidental, special, or punitive damages, including loss of use, loss of profits, or other economic loss.

Limitation of Liability

Swift Paints’ total liability under this warranty is limited to the purchase price of the defective product. This limitation is the exclusive remedy and replaces all other remedies.

How to claim

If any provision of this warranty is held invalid, the remaining provisions remain in full force. Except as expressly stated above, Swift Paints disclaims all other warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose to the fullest extent permitted by law.
